From Black Pepper Bacon Biscuits, to Cauliflower Soup, to a sweet Apple Spice Cake, this episode of Thyme For Sharing focuses on winter comfort foods and clean eating.

Black Pepper Bacon Biscuits

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 4 tsp coarse black pepper
  • 4 tsp olive oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 pcs bacon, chopped (nitrate free)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Measure 1/4 cup prepared biscuit mix into prepared muffin pan.

Place pan in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

Remove from oven, let cool and serve.

Cauliflower Soup

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 lrg sweet onion
  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 3 cups organic chicken stock

Add olive oil to soup pot on medium heat.

Chop onion and add to pot. Let simmer for a couple of minutes.

Cut cauliflower into florets

Add chicken stock, sea salt, minced garlic, white salt, and cauliflower.

Cover pot, reduce heat to low, and let cook for 20 to 25 minutes.

Remove pot from heat, let sit for 5 minutes.

Ladle soup mix into blender, and puree for about 5 seconds until smooth.

Pour blended soup back into pot, then add coconut creme and stir until incorporated.

Serve immediately.

Apple Spice Cake

  • 2 cups honey crisp apple, grated
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 3 eggs, room temp
  • 1 cup coconut creme
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Remove from oven, let cool and serve.
