Cocktail of the Week – Southern Bloody Caesar

The Southern Bloody Caesar is a new twist on the Bloody Caesar that is popular with our neighbors above the border.

Bloody Southern Caesar

Bloody Mary’s aren’t for everyone.  Some people don’t like the consistency of the mix while others might not like the peppers and spices that most “Bloodys’” have in them.  Lara Lyn found a drink while touring Canada at CN Tower 360.  They serve a drink called a Bloody Caesar, which is the Canadian version of a Bloody Mary.

Lara Lyn, in her true style, had to put a southern twist on it by adding some El Guapo bitters and “Southern” Vodka from 13th Colony out of Americus, GA. Next in this drink we add Clamato juice instead of a traditional Bloody Mary Mix.  Clamato juice is a blend of tomato juice and clam broth with some spices also blended in.  The juice is popular in Central/South America with a tradition of mixing it with a light beer.  The top of the glass gets rimmed with bacon, cooked crisp and chopped up fine, and celery salt.

1 ¼ oz. 13th Colony Vodka (use your desired amount 😉)

Lime wedge

Celery salt 🥬

One piece of bacon 🥓 cooked crisp and blended

3-4 drops of El Guapo Bitters (Choose your favorite flavor but we recommend Gumbo or Crawfish boil)

Clamato Juice (fill as desired)

All these ingredients and more can be found locally in Albany, GA. at The Warehouse
