Let's be honest - dating can be hard. And figuring out date ideas that won't break the bank can seem impossible sometimes. Lucky for you, the South Georgia Weekend team took out all the guessing for you and compiled a list that doesn't disappoint.
Take the pressure off with bowling
Whether you’re thinking of making it a double date or just the two of you, bowling is an option that won’t disappoint. There’s less pressure, but you still get the opportunity to get to know your date in a one-on-one setting. You can go over to All American Fun Park on North Slappey in Albany or Albany Strikers on West Broad Avenue.
Grab some coffee then go for a stroll
Coffee is a low-key idea that works well as a first date. Doesn’t go well? Get an espresso. Feel like you’re bonding? Get that cup to go and take a walk. Check out Elements Coffee on Ledo Road or hit up your favorite coffee chain.
Get a little dirty and pick some strawberries
Hear us out – this isn’t your typical date idea. But what’s more fun than spending the day picking some sweet treats for you and your date to eat later? We got up close and personal with Mark’s Melon Patch as owner Mark Daniel showed us the easy process of picking out the succulent fruity delights.
Get out of town and take a hike
This date idea is for all the outdoorsy people. Just a short drive north is F.D. Rosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. In the park is over 40 miles of hiking trails. The two of you can even bring a picnic lunch.
