Breast Cancer Awareness Month is October but breast cancer is something women face every day of every month. Each year a it is estimated that over 250k women in the U.S. alone will be diagnosed with the disease and more than 40k will die. That is 1 in 8 women being diagnosed in their lifetime. Men can be diagnosed with breast cancer but it is extremely rare only affecting around 2,400 a year. Breast cancer also boasts over 3 million survivors living in the US. These stats and more can be found at National Breast Cancer Foundation, INC.
